Adri, this is excellent. And now another distraction to take away from the filth of the Epstein files and an accounting. Devastating to the women, the victims, aka survivors.

When will Congress follow the lead of the Mother Country from whom our Constitution was derived. This is nothing less than the reign of terror on all levels by a morally corrupt regime.

Spot on Adri! This needs to be heard again and again! Thank you for using your voice and words to bring this despicable tragedy to the forefront of our conversations. Thus bringing hope that knowledge brings power to make changes.

Dear Adriana, Thank you, thank you for this powerful essay that is spot on. It made me feel rage at the despicable behavior of so many with wealth and power, preying and exploiting the helpless and innocent, and the audacity and injustice of it all. It reminds me all too much of the speech from King Lear: “Robes and furr'd gowns hide all. Plate sin with gold/ And the strong lance of justice hurtless breaks: / Arm it in rags, a pigmy's straw does pierce it.”

Your piece also moved me to tears as a woman and educator, seeing how all these adults failed to protect and care for innocent children, especially young girls. And where is their protection now as they are forced once again to relive their trauma?

Thank you for articulating so well what so many of us feel.

Extraordinary and passionate storytelling Adri! You educated me and you brought the Epstein files to life as I read about these disgusting and repulsive excuses for human beings. Most of us know that Trump is doing everything in his power to distract from his involvement, including starting a war. He’s gross and so are his buddies who claim no participation in having sex with these girls. If none of these pieces of trash weren’t part of this sickness, then who was? We all know the answer. Guilty by association. I had no idea of the background of these girls— it’s inhumane. What goes around comes around, and I can’t wait to see Trump and his cronies get crushed.

Thank you, Adriana for standing up for what you believe in: The purity of children who are the true victims of this heinous crime. One pont you made about the high and mighty feeling as if they would never be exposed and that they would get away with their actions is spot on. We, as women and moral individuals must keep the pressure on and support the victims in any way we can. I must admit I have not read Virginia Guiffre's book and the reason is because I am scared of the heartbreak and the terror. But my feelings are so trivial compared to the abuse that the victims experienced. It is time for me to read it. You give me the incentive that I need. Keep pushing forward to the truth. We must stand together. ❤️

Thank you. For me, you stuck the landing on these lines: "

There are still people who believe the Epstein tragedy is a story about some perverse sexual need of adult men. While that is gross, it’s worse. There is hatred of girls, young women and grown women that we need to be honest about. Read the files! They hate us—and want to hurt children. When children are expendable, or not worth the time it takes to care for them, this is the rot. The neglect of children is the worst crime in all of this because it creates the opportunity for deviants like Epstein and Maxwell, and the sick men that rely on them, to swoop in, take advantage of children and use them for their own diabolical purposes.

My sister asks why I am so angry. Because I have seen this coming since 2016. Yes, I am furious at the way we continued to treat women. Even by other women.

Adri: I follow your Substack posts without fail. Today’s Epstein piece is a masterwork. I would argue your words have far greater value to humanity than any novel you’ve written. Most days I feel more like a patient in a 3.8 million square mile psychiatric hospital than a free citizen of the United States of America. Even my sleep is tormented. That said---you are a beacon of rationality and fact in a country gone mad. Your commentaries are as valuable, if not more so, than those from Heather Cox Richardson. The narratives you offer make serious points and speak truth to power---but sprinkled lightly with that incomparable wit. It reminds me that life isn’t all about misery, evil, and hopelessness. With unending love and respect! Ron (not a billionaire, certainly not a pervert, and charged with nothing more than a few speeding tickets when I was a younger man....and for which I'm very sorry)

Thoughtfully written. I remember reading about him many years ago in New York Magazine, and knew there was something so not right about him.

I feel and share your outrage. The tentacles of Epstein’s repulsive, vile behavior were spread so widely that it’s hard to even imagine how far and deep they go. I do believe that the truth of it all will come out, but certainly not soon enough for the victims.

I am so grateful for your thoughts on the Epstein files. You have expressed clearly and vehemently what I have felt all along about the horrendous and vile individuals who preyed on young girls and women.

Your word choice including deviants, bastards, putz, pervs, diabolical, devil, decrepitude, decay, and corrupt are all appropriate to describe this story. Yet for the girls and women survivors there are no words and not enough tears to express what they experienced.

Please, Adriana, keep after this story! Don’t let it disappear from the public or be buried by the chaos of this administration. Continue to reveal and show light on this syndicate of evil and those who are part of it.

I emailed this excellent piece to 20 others. It caught my attention and needs to be brought out in the open. It can't be swept under the rug, and the news media obviously won't reveal all. Don't rush to judgment about Trump, Ms. Ebberts. Your friend Bill Clinton was one of the most actively involved pals of this monster and probably had something to do with his demise to cover his tracks. This is not about which party we belong to. So stop pointing fingers so early in the game of exposure. It is Trump who ordered the files be made public!!!!!

So perfectly said; thank you. Until people pay for their sins in this evil plot nothing else matters.
